I am Dr. Brenda J. Washington, the founder of Routes to Knowledge and the lead facilitator for English language learners, as well as for proofreading and editing services. My decision to establish this organization was inspired by the learners I mentored while pursuing my doctorate at Capella University. My profound appreciation for education and a commitment to finding effective solutions have informed my coaching practices and led to the realization that numerous pathways exist to achieve one’s objectives; thus, Routes to Knowledge was conceived.

R2K’s Proof & Editing was officially established in 2019 as a non-profit organization dedicated to adult literacy through coaching, tutoring, proofreading, and editing services. We have collaborated with learners from diverse backgrounds to enhance their reading and writing skills, in addition to providing comprehensive editing services. Our portfolio includes the editing of a wide range of materials, from college entrance essays to novels. We take pride in the noteworthy contributions we have made to numerous doctoral candidates in the successful completion of their capstone projects and dissertations. Each learner is regarded as an individual who is afforded the necessary support to achieve their goals.

As a member of ProLiteracy, we are dedicated to collaborating with individuals from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who face challenges in achieving their educational aspirations due to financial constraints.
